Glossary¶
Terms used throughout the manual, worth having at hand.
CRM and sales¶
- Contact — person (customer or prospect) in your database.
- Company — customer business or B2B account.
- Lead — active sales opportunity.
- Case / Ticket — request or problem reported by a customer.
- Sales funnel — stages a lead goes through before closing.
- Conversion rate — percentage of leads that become customers.
- Sales forecast — estimate of future closings based on active leads.
ZaazCRM features¶
- Folio — short unique identifier for each record (CON251, PRE158, FAC076).
- Picklist — field with predefined list values.
- Visibility — context where a field renders (list, detail, form, etc.).
- Permission — what a user can do (view, create, edit, delete).
- Role — user's general level (Sales Rep, Admin, Manager).
- Profile — additional granular permissions set.
- Workflow — automation reacting to events.
- Display name — computed field defining how a record shows.
- Activity timeline — automatic change log on each record.
- Template (PDF or email) — pre-built document with dynamic tokens.
- Token — marker like
{{name}}substituted with real data. - Auto-folder — folder created automatically per customer/case.
- SLA — Service Level Agreement, target response time on a case.
Technology¶
- API — interface for external applications.
- SMTP — email sending protocol.
- WebDAV — protocol to access files as a network folder.
- OnlyOffice — in-browser Office document editor.
- Jitsi — video-call technology.
- SIP — webphone protocol.
- Tenant — specific install for a business (
your-company.zaazcrm.com). - Webhook — HTTP notification to external systems.
- API token — credential for external systems.
Payments and billing¶
- Quote — economic proposal.
- Invoice — legal billing document.
- Line item — each detail line.
- Tax — VAT, GST, sales tax applicable.
- CFDI — Digital Tax Receipt by Internet (Mexico).
- VAT — value added tax.
- GST / HST — Goods and Services Tax / Harmonized (Canada).
