PDF editor¶
Why this matters¶
The ZaazCRM PDF editor lets you annotate, fill out, and sign PDFs directly in the browser — no Adobe Acrobat. Useful for:
- Filling out PDF forms the customer sends.
- Annotating a contract to mark where the customer should sign.
- Highlighting parts of a document to discuss with the team.
- Combining several PDFs into one.
- Digitally signing a PDF before sending it to the customer.
Open a PDF for editing¶
- In the file manager, find the PDF.
- Click on it or menu → Open with PDF Editor.
- The editor opens in the browser.

Available tools¶
- Text — add text blocks.
- Fill fields — if the PDF has interactive fields.
- Highlight / Underline / Strikethrough.
- Draw — freehand strokes.
- Signature — add your digital signature.
- Stamp — preloaded stamps ("Received", "Approved").
- Insert image.
Sign a PDF¶
- Signature tool → Create signature.
- Three options: draw, type your name, upload an image.
- Place the signature where it goes.
- Save.
Once created, your signature is saved in your profile for reuse.
Combine several PDFs¶
- File menu → Insert pages.
- Pick the PDF and where to insert.
- Save as with a new name.
Reorder and delete pages¶
Thumbnails side panel: drag to move, right-click to delete, rotate.
Watch out for¶
- Don't edit a PDF you've already digitally signed. The signature invalidates.
- Large PDFs are slow. Split them if over 500 pages.
- For PDFs with protected fields, some aren't editable here.
Where to next¶
- WebDAV — use local Adobe Acrobat.
- PDF templates — generate PDFs from templates.
