WebDAV¶
Why this matters¶
WebDAV lets you mount the ZaazCRM file tree as a network drive on your computer — as if it were just another folder in your Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac). From there you edit with your desktop apps (Word, Acrobat, Photoshop) directly on the customer's files.
Useful for those who prefer local tools over browser ones, or need to process many files at once.
When WebDAV vs. the web file manager¶
| Case | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Quick .docx edit | OnlyOffice (in browser) |
| Edit PDF with Adobe Acrobat installed | WebDAV |
| Process 50 files at once | WebDAV |
| Working from phone or tablet | Web manager |
How to set up¶
Your administrator gives you:
- WebDAV URL — something like
https://<your-company>.zaazcrm.com/webdav/. - Username — usually your ZaazCRM email.
- App password — different from your sign-in password.
On Windows¶
- File Explorer → This PC → Map network drive.
- Pick a letter (for example
Z:). - Paste the WebDAV URL.
- Check Connect using different credentials → enter username and password.
On Mac¶
- Finder → Go → Connect to Server (
Cmd + K). - Paste the URL → Connect → enter credentials.
On Linux¶
- GNOME Files:
Cmd + L→davs://<your-company>.zaazcrm.com/webdav/.
Edit files¶
Double-click opens with default app. On save, changes upload automatically to the server.
Synchronization¶
WebDAV doesn't sync like Dropbox. Files live on the server. If you lose connection, no access.
Watch out for¶
- Don't edit the same file from WebDAV and OnlyOffice at the same time.
- App passwords are specific. If lost, generate a new one.
- WebDAV can be slow with large files.
Where to next¶
- PDF templates — generate PDFs from templates.
- eForms — structured forms.
